FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to organic chemistry, particularly, to direct thermal oxidation of methane to produce heat power and may be used for recovery of well methane in mining. proposed method comprises heating a portion of initial well methane from gas complex treatment unit in furnace at 0.1-1 MPa and gas concentration in initial gas making 20-25 vol. %. Heated gas is fed into tubular cooling zone jacket space and, therefrom, into reaction zone wherein methane gas-phase oxidation occurs at 400-650°C accompanied by reaction mix cooling in reactor tubular zone. Final cooling of reaction mix occurs in refrigerator-condenser whereat cooled reaction mix is separated into off gases and fluid products, and high-pressure and low-pressure steam and heat water are produced. Note here that thermal conditions are adjusted by feeding cold well methane in reactor reaction zone and varying heating temperature of a portion of methane fed to rector tubular cooling zone inlet.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of methane oxidation.
