FIELD: information technology.
SUBSTANCE: heads-up display adaptor (HUD) is connected to electronic peripheral devices in order to display electronic data and information from the peripheral devices on the screen of the existing HUD unit on a vehicle's windshield. The existing HUD unit includes a heads-up display screen on the front windshield of the vehicle and additionally includes a control unit of the heads-up display positioned on the control panel of the steering wheel of the vehicle or control panel of the vehicle for controlling each of the electronic peripheral devices. The HUD unit includes a USB panel having a plurality of USB ports for connection with one or more of the said HUD adaptors. The first adaptor plug of the said HUD adaptor is connected to the receiving port of the electronic peripheral device; and the second adaptor plug of the HUD adaptor is connected to one of the plurality of the USB ports of the said USB panel.
EFFECT: enabling a driver to quickly and safely access information while keeping both hands on the steering wheel of the vehicle while driving, using a portable HUD adapter and software with the existing HUD device.
