FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming and may be used in hydraulic forging of complex hollow articles, e.g. T-joints. Proposed device comprises composite die and axial made dies. Each of the latter is made up of larger- and smaller-diametre cylinders. Said diametres equal ID and OD of tubular billet. One of said cylinders is communicated with high-pressure source. Smaller-diametre cylinder of each male die has two conjugate ledges. First ledge is formed by isosceles triangle with vertex arranged opposite the T-joint branch pipe being formed. First ledge may act on tubular billet bulge originating in forging to transfer metal of said bulge axially and along circumference and into T-joint branch pipe zone.
EFFECT: higher operating performances and quality of final product.
