FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: method involves analysis of information content of signal of magnetic field intensity sensor located on current-conducting wires supplying the power to primary winding of transformer loaded to bridge thyristor rectifier. Amplitude of spectrum constituent of sensor signal is used as informative parametre and is equal to 2ω (ω - frequency of supplying the power to network rectifier), which shows the occurrence of failure in rectifying scheme, and value of its amplitude will allow specifying the technical situation (breakdown of thyristor). In order to determine the number of failed thyristor, congruence of average values of positive and negative semi-periods of output signal of current magnetic field intensity sensor feeding the transformer of bridge rectifier is performed. Then, for value of average rectified voltage or for good condition of rectifier itself, control signal is shaped to control system of thyristor rectifier to switch off the thyristors having direct galvanic connection to failed thyristor.
EFFECT: improving operating reliability of the device.
