FIELD: information technology.
SUBSTANCE: source device allows a remote device user to access a protected file on the source device if the remote device user has the right to access the protected file. The user determines the location of the protected file on the source device using the remote device and accesses the protected file using a multimedia player on the remote device. The multimedia player creates a path through which the source device sends the protected file in streaming mode. The remote device replies to the identification request from the source device with that the remote device user has the right to access the protected file. The user is identified in order to confirm that the remote device user has the right to access the protected file. The protected file is sent in streaming mode to the remote device through the path created by the remote device.
EFFECT: broader functional capabilities of remote accessing protected files.
