SUBSTANCE: in the method of suppressing noise, weighted coefficients of a set of band-rejection filters for all possible values of the modulus of the correlation coefficient of passive noise ρpn, given with accuracy Δρpn between 0 and 1, and different positions ti=0.1,…,N of pulse noise interference in a coherent burst, including its absence (ti=0), are calculated beforehand and recorded in memory. When processing, correlation coefficients of noise between neighbouring periods h, h+1, where 1≤h≤N-1, are estimated and from these estimates, an estimate with the maximum modulus of the correlation coefficient is found and then used to estimate the correlation coefficient of passive noise in the k-th range reading . Complex envelope readings xi,k after turning them in the i-th repetition period of the coherent burst by a phase equal to are taken to the selected band-rejection filters with weighted coefficients wi,k(ti). Noise power is estimated at the outputs of the selected band-rejection filters with weighted coefficients wi,k(ti). Weighted coefficients of said band-rejection filter, which ensure minimum noise power at the output for the available noise correlation parametres in the k-th range element, are defined as weighted coefficients of one of the selected band-rejection filters with weighted coefficients wi,k(ti), at the output of which the noise power estimate assumes the minimum value.
EFFECT: simple technique of realising the method without reducing noise suppression.
