SUBSTANCE: wide-format device for inputting information into a computer (interactive board) consisting of a wide-format pad consisting of two (four) identical coordinate matrices, has a radio-electronic unit comprising four (eight) multiplexers, an amplifier, a phase detector, a rectifier, a voltage-to-frequency converter, as well as a microcontroller which employs a programmed algorithm to implement a method for accurate determination of absolute coordinates of the pointer within the working region of the pad.

EFFECT: increase in dimensions of the working field of the pad up to or beyond limits defined by limits in the technology of constructing the coordinate matrix.
