FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medicine, namely to ophthalmology. Claimed is artificial cornea for implantation into human organism, which is obtained by method, which includes obtaining of substrate by selection of animal cornea with further cross-linking and substrate fixation, as well as minimisation of substrate antigen activity and connection to it of active layer from group: polypeptide, glycosaminoglycan. Cross-linking and fixation are carried out with application of water-soluble epoxy compound, which has hydrocarbon framework, which does not contain simple and complex ether bonds. Epoxy compound is taken from group, which includes epoxide, diamide, diisocyanite and carbodiamide. Minimisation of substrate antigen activity is realised with application of active reagent from group: anhydrides of acids, acyl chlorides, amides, epoxides, for blocking active groups of substrate protein molecules, as well as reagent with high ability to form hydrogen bonds, for instance, compounds of guanidine, for changing configuration of hydrogen bonds in spiral areas of protein molecules of substrate.
EFFECT: obtained artificial cornea has high biological compatibility and stability.
