SUBSTANCE: bacterial strain Bacillus firmus SDS-1 is produced of cyanobacteria cords recovered from natural waters of the Northern Caspian Sea by an enrichment culture method and deposited in the All-Russia Collection of Industrial Microorganisms, collection number VKPM B-9278. The strain is able to replicate and to degrade oil hydrocarbons in a medium with 24.0 % NaCl. 82.5 % cleaning from oil hydrocarbons has been performed in a laboratory environment.
EFFECT: strain Bacillus firmus SDS-1 exhibits an emulsifying activity.
