FIELD: information technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to protection of banknotes, bond paper and documents with authentication marks containing nanocrystals of diamonds with active nitrogen-vacancy (NV) centres, and can be used to authenticate said objects, as well as in systems for their mass automated control. The device has a microwave radiation source fitted with an interrupted strip-line antenna which emits at the point where the authentication mark of the verified object passes through the verification zone, and for measuring change in fluorescence of the inspected object when exposed to microwave radiation, the device has a synchronous detector which gives out a signal which modulates the microwave field.
EFFECT: more reliable authentication.
