FIELD: information technology.
SUBSTANCE: method for data stream encryption comprises successive conversion of data stream symbol blocks using sequences of symbols of the adaptive and multiplicative groups of the residue-class ring on module p=2k, generated respectively by extracting information from k different bits of a shift register with feedback (additive group) and by using the symbol "1" in the zero bit of a binary vector, and for the rest of the bits of the binary vector - extracting information from k-1 different bits of the shift register (multiplicative group). Further, a sequence of symbols is formed, which represents determined chaos, in form of binary vectors with length of k bits and the encrypted symbol blocks in form of binary vectors with length of k bits are converted through bit-by-bit modulo two addition with binary vectors of symbols of the said sequence, which represents determined chaos.
EFFECT: eliminating periodicity from the generated encrypting sequence and fewer information connections between symbols of the generated encrypting sequence.
