SUBSTANCE: washing machine includes housing including front cover and side plate; at that, side plate is connected to front plate. At that, drum for clothes and electric motor for drum rotation are installed in the housing. Clothes loading and unloading door is located on front cover of the housing. At that, side plate of the housing is made from steel sheet and contains many cavities formed in it; at that, those cavities are made in longitudinal direction passing horizontally, and width of multiple cavities in vertical direction is larger than that of section between the cavities located near each other of multiple cavities in vertical direction.

EFFECT: preventing vibration of washing machine, even in case drum rotation speed increases, owing to rigidity of side plates.
