SUBSTANCE: ice distribution device has an accumulating hopper for ice pieces, a gate that may move above an outlet hole of the accumulating hopper following the specified trajectory and has the first set of fingers and the second set of fingers. At least one of sets comprises at least two fingers arranged with an axial gap. As the gate moves along its trajectory, one finger of the second set enters the gap between two fingers of the first set. The assembly may move between the position, in which it partially covers the outlet hole, and the position, in which it releases the outlet hole.

EFFECT: using this invention makes it possible to dispense ice pieces or ground ice at option with the simple design.
