SUBSTANCE: device for processing of sheets comprises a sheet processing facility to carry out operations of binding and/or folding and a control facility to control the sheet processing facility. The control facility controls the sheet processing device so that the number of sheets, which are only subject to the folding operation without the binding operation is less than the number of sheets subject to binding and folding operations. The method consists in control of binding and/or folding operations for multiple sheets.
