FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment, namely to devices for drug injection. The device for liquid drug injection contains a cylindrical body with a front end wherein there is a needle port; a cavity in the body for reception of a syringe unit; a release mechanism; a return mechanism, and a needle depth control component. The syringe unit is integrated in the body and movable inside the cavity. The unit is supplied with a tank containing a liquid drug, and also with a needle for injection connected in an operating condition with the tank so that the liquid drug from the tank can be displaced through the needle for injections. The release mechanism transfers the syringe unit from a non-cocked condition wherein the needle for injection is integrated completely in the case, into the cocked condition wherein the needle for injection projects through the needle port. The return mechanism transforms the syringe unit from the cocked condition back to the cocked condition. The return mechanism contains a spiral spring which encloses a needle for injection when the syringe unit is in the non-cocked condition. The spiral spring of the return mechanism is integrated completely inside the body. The needle depth control component is built in the body, encloses the needle for injection in the non-cocked position, and represents either a bushing which encloses the spiral spring of the return mechanism, or at least two nonworking coils of the spiral spring of the return mechanism. According to the second version of the device, the needle depth control component represents a rigid bushing which encloses the spiral spring of the return mechanism when the syringe unit is in the cocked and non-cocked condition. The rigid bushing is integrated completely in the body and represents a separate portion, is supplied with a first surface adjacent with the front end of the body and a supporting surface opposite to the first surface. The syringe unit is provided with a surface which adjoins to the supporting surface in the cocked condition, and the supporting surface limits a travel distance of the syringe unit in the body while transformed in the cocked condition. The supporting surface of the rigid bushing is spaced from the first surface of the bushing for a length which determines a distance for which the needle for injection projects from the body in the cocked condition.
EFFECT: invention provides automatic drug injection in which a person does not see skin puncturing, and there is no need to put a perceptible effort for skin puncturing and drug injection to a requiring patient, and also provides needle depth control for surface, subcutaneous, intramuscular and deeper drug introduction that enables using it by the persons who have no idea of the required needle depth.
