FIELD: blasting operations.
SUBSTANCE: elastic explosive composition includes the following, wt %: hexogen with crystal size 60-400 mcm 63-67, butadiene-styrene latex thermoplastic elastomer 7-17, liquefied petrolatum 2.5-3.5, nanodisperse hexogen with crystal size of 20-80 nm is the rest. Introduction of nanodisperse hexogen provides improvement of inner structure of the composition, reduction of porosity, density increase (1.65 g/cm3), reduction of critical diameter (2.5 mm) and critical thickness (2.5 mm), detonation speed increase (8100 m/s) of elastic explosive composition and items made from it.
EFFECT: high reliability, small weight and overall dimensions of detonating cords at high detonation speed.
