FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed wood splitting machine comprises frame to support wedge-like cutter and feed chain conveyor with top bars. Top ends of stop bars are rounded off on the side of cutter. Table is arranged atop the frame. Table end extending beyond cutter boundaries is rounded off. Rounding radius defined from cutter front edge does not exceed half the minimum length of round wood blocks to be splitted.
EFFECT: ruling out of splitted material accumulation of worktable and chain breakage.
