FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: method for creation of luminescence of a light-emissive unit involves a radiation stream generation and the said stream impact on a luminescent material encapsulated inside a light-emissive shell. One generates a stream of white light radiation with wavelength selected from the interval of values specified in the expression; the luminophor applied has absorption wave length coinciding with one part of the light source radiation spectrum and emission wave length partly or fully coinciding with the other part of the light source radiation spectrum. The device for implementation of the method for creation of a light-emissive unit luminescence contains a housing that has a translucent facet. Installed inside the housing is a light source represented by board-mounted LEDs with the luminophor contained inside the translucent facet. One specifies the luminophor quantity, the light-emissive shell thickness, the shell transparency coefficient, relative spectral values of the light stream.

EFFECT: method and design simplification, improvement of spectral distribution and the light-emissive surface luminous excitance uniformity, increase of light sources efficiency coefficient.
