WIND-POWERED WATER DISTILLER Russian patent published in 2011 - IPC C02F1/74

Abstract RU 2436737 C2

FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to water treatment and may be used for production of fresh water from sea and saline (mineralised) continental waters. A wind-powered water distiller comprises a rotary body 1 with inlet 2 and outlet 3 air nozzles and a reservoir 4 with salt water, arranged at the bottom of the body 1, a bottom 5 of which via a bearing 6 is joined with a stand 7, rotary discs 8, which are partially submerged into water, at both sides there are S-shaped plates 11 attached to the discs 8. On the right section of the reservoir 4, on a hinged joint 12, there is a longitudinal plate 13, which contacts with a pneumatic cylinder 14 at the bottom, and the cylinder is fixed in the wall of the reservoir 4 and is connected pneumatically via a tube 15 to the inlet nozzle 2. In the outlet nozzle 3, arranged above the inlet nozzle 2, at the left side of the body 1, at 0.7-1.0 of discs 8 diameter, there are moisture-collecting chambers 16 installed, formed by vertical partitions 17, attached to the upper part of the nozzle 3 and vertical partitions 18, attached to the lower part of the nozzle 3. The chambers 16 via tubes 19 are hydraulically communicated with a collector of fresh water 20, installed on a reservoir for fresh water collection 21, which is attached at the side to the reservoir 4, and are communicated to each other by means of a hydraulic lock 22. A chute 23, attached to the left inner side of the body 1, via a tube 24 is hydraulically communicated with the collector 20. On top of the body 1 there is a manhole 25 with a cover 26 and wind vane 27. The nozzles 2 and 3, the upper part of the body 1, the manhole 25 and the cover 26 are coated with a black paint.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to simplify design and to use solar and wind energy.
