FIELD: printing industry.
SUBSTANCE: printer for direct duplex thermal printing comprises a switch that provides for activation and deactivation of duplex printing function. The printer is configured so that it is capable of printing on both sides of a receipt or other sheet carrier, moving along the feed trajectory through the printer, and comprises a printing head on each side from the carrier's feed trajectory. At each side from the carrier's feed trajectory there is an opposite roller arranged opposite to the appropriate printing head.
EFFECT: switch makes it possible for the printer to use simplex mode software facilities for duplex printing.
