SUBSTANCE: in the method aggregates are selected, a modifier is introduced into them, and their water stability is detected. At the same time gel films are extracted from the soil aggregates before and after application of the modifier. Water stability is detected only if in the gel films extracted from soils after application of the modifier there is higher microphase exfoliation than in gel films extracted from soils prior to application of the modifier.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to increase efficiency in selection of modifiers to improve water stability of soil aggregates.
