SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mechanical engineering, in particular, agricultural mechanical engineering, for example, machines for harvesting and processing of crops. Drum picker includes a transverse frame with arms where slopes are fixed. On the shaft pivots are located, which make rotational motion in between slopes. The picker is equipped with limiters, partially overlapping inter-slopes gap. The working surface of the pivots has a variable cross-section and comprises two sections, with the section from the base of the pivot has a width greater, and the section from the end of the pivot has a width smaller than the smallest distance between adjacent limiters, which depends on the width of the cross-sectional sections of the working surface of the pivot and the dimension of the inter-slopes gap and is defined by the formula: d₂≤B-2A≤d₁, where (B - 2A) is the distance between adjacent limiters; d₁ is the width of the cross-section of the section of the working surface of the pivot from its end; B is the dimension of the inter-slopes gap; A is dimension of overlap of the inter-slopes gap by the limiters.

EFFECT: use of drum picker enables to clean up the pivots from selected material and avoid getting trapped under the slopes of stems captured by pivots and of pivots themselves, which increases reliability of technical process and eliminates the possibility of clogging the inter-slopes gaps and spaces of inner cavity of slopes with picked stems.
