FIELD: physics, optics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to colour music appliances and may be used to convert two-channel stereophonic recording into colour images. This is achieved by reproducing stereo sound colour images onto flat-panel displays in series of the following operations: encoding sounds in nine ranges of audio frequency, accumulating codes by nine code storages, sending all codes from said storages into nine pulse amplifier units, their pulses being used to initiate two display matrix elements to emit for spectator to perceive with the help of separate vision-filed glasses.
EFFECT: three-dimensional colour reproduction of stereo sound on two displays.
