FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention aims at increasing quality of sleeves produced at disk mill by helical rolling of solid billets. Proposed method is realised at helical rolling disk mill stand and comprises rolling heated biller on mandrel between top drive or idle roll with shaft located above rolling axis and two bottom drive rolls with shafts located below rolling axis, roll centers being located on said axles in riser pad. Note here that rolling is performed at the angle between centers of bottom rolls in riser pad equal to 120-180° and bottom roll body length-to-diameter ratio making 0.6-1.4.

EFFECT: higher quality of sleeves from carbon and alloyed steels.
