FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aircraft wing stringer and method of its production. Proposed stringer comprises two spaced apart flanges for attachment to wing skin panel, one or more lateral walls made integral with said flanges to extend therefrom, and roof made integral with one or more sidewalls. Said flanges have top and bottom surfaces. Bottom surface serves for attachment to said wing skin panel. Flanges are produced with allowance for machining while flange bottom surface is machined to vary stringer height in direction of its length. Proposed method comprises making the blank with allowance and subjecting surface of said flanges to machining to allow stringer height to vary along its length.

EFFECT: lower weight of aircraft wing.
