SUBSTANCE: invention relates to compositions of mixtures for making enamel coating on ceramic articles, mainly facing tiles and stove tiles. The mixture for making enamel coating contains frit, mullite, clay and ground alumina, with the following ratio of components in wt %: frit 71.0-74.0; mullite 12.0-14.0; clay 3.0-4.0; ground alumina 10.0-12.0. The mixture for making enamel coating additionally contains cerium oxide in amount of 2.0-3.0 wt %.

EFFECT: high heat resistance of the enamel coating.
