SUBSTANCE: described is a method of blocking a first packet corresponding to a first bit rate in a second packet corresponding to a second bit rate. The first packet is received. The first packet is analysed to determine the first bit rate corresponding to the first packet. Bits corresponding to at least one parameter are discarded from the first packet. The remaining bits corresponding to one or more parameters and a special identifier are packed in a second packet corresponding to a second bit rate. The second packet is transmitted.
EFFECT: high quality of reconstructed speech signals compared to deleting full-rate packets and reducing network traffic.
