FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of livestock farming. The method includes selection of cows, determination of the average value of rating parameters sum: quantity of fat, protein content in cow's milk. Dairy cattle rating is determined by the average value of the sum of rating indices: content of fat and protein in daily yield of milk during the period of increased milking capacity per unit of live mass, stress resistance and completeness of milk release according to the following formula:

where Q - quantity of rating indices; Y - daily yield of milk in the period of increased milking capacity, kg; F, P - fat and protein content in milk, %; W - live weight of cows, kg; SI - index of cow's stress resistance, which is determined in the following manner:

where Q - quantity of rating indices; Y₀, Y_k, F₀, F_k, MRI₀, MRI_K - single yield of milk (kg), fat content in milk (%), milk release intensity (kg/min.) in experimental and reference groups of animals; M_res, F_res - residual milk (kg) and fat content (%) in the experimental group of animals; MRC - index of milk release completeness is determined from the following expression:

where Y_M, - machine yield (kg).

EFFECT: method makes it possible to provide comprehensive and objective assessment of certain dairy cattle breeds.
