FIELD: firearms.
SUBSTANCE: folding bolt handle comprises a base with elements used for fastening and fixation with the moving parts of the automatic mechanism, and a handle with a spring. The handle and the spring are installed on the axis parallel to the axis of the firearm bore and they are fastened on the base part protruding from the receiver. The handle is installed on the base with the possibility to turn by means of the handle spring towards the firearm receiver. Another torsion spring is positioned on the handle axis. The spring is hardened to stay twisted in the axial slot. The axial slot is positioned in the protruding part of the base. The handle has a tooth capable of interacting with the second torsion spring when the handle is turned towards the receiver because of the handle spring or external force, for example, when the firearm falls on its side. The momentum applied to the handle by the handle spring is considerably weaker than the twisting couple of the second spring.
EFFECT: firearm size reduction while retaining the same width; performance improvement.
