FIELD: weapons and ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: cassette warhead comprises a shell with bottoms, a cassette with damaging agents, a piston, a forcing unit, an ejection charge and a safety adaptor. The cassette comprises a head and a bottom sections. The cassette has a source of energy made in the form of a low-temperature gas generator. Each section of the cassette is equipped with freely arranged and block elements that are coaxially placed in the section. Elements are fixed to each other by an elastic perforated jacket made in the form of a collapsible cylinder. Longitudinal edges of the cylinder are joined with ejection explosive charges equipped with moderating devices. Freely arranged damaging elements are fixed in insert peripheral cells of the central support by means of blocks and the shell. The support is made of porous material. Number of damaging elements freely arranged in cassette sections makes 0.2-0.4 of the total quantity of damaging elements arranged in the warhead.
EFFECT: more even distribution of large quantity of small-sized damaging elements on the damage area.
