FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an adhesive polymer, adhesive polymer and polymer compositions based on said polymer, as well as a composite article. The adhesive polymer contains maleic anhydride-grafted butyl rubber obtained by: a) dissolving bromated butyl rubber in a non-polar hydrocarbon solvent, b) adding to the solution at least 1 part maleic anhydride per 100 parts rubber, antioxidant and catalyst of formula , where M denotes a bivalent metal, R1 denotes an alkyl hydrocarbon residue with 2-20 carbon atoms, R2 denotes an alkyl hydrocarbon residue with 2-20 carbon atoms, c) carrying out a reaction in that solution, at pressure not lower than 6.9 bars and temperature 120°C or at a lower reaction temperature, which results in formation of butyl rubber with grafted maleic anhydride.
EFFECT: obtaining butyl polymer with higher adhesion power and making composite articles from said polymer.
