FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of porous construction materials, particularly light concrete. The composition for making composite foamed polystyrene concrete contains water 21.6-29.4, hydraulic binder - cement 25.2-38.0, light filler - granular foamed polystyrene 0.2-0.4, a reinforcement additive 0.002-0.005, an air entraining agent 0.004-0.012, a plasticiser 0.08-0.12, an anti-shrinking additive - basalt fibre 0.002-0.005, air binder 0.5-1.3, heavy filler - sand 35.5-43.9, a foaming agent 0.05-0.12 and iron-containing powder 0.06-0.12. The method of making composite foamed polystyrene concrete involves preliminary mixture of the hydraulic and air binder, heavy and light filler, plasticiser, air-entraining, anti-shrinking and reinforcement additives, the iron-containing powder and water for 2-5 minutes until obtaining a homogeneous mass, adding to the obtained mass the foaming agent and secondary mixing for 0.5-3 minutes, raising air pressure around the obtained mass and mixing for 1-2 minutes, subjecting the mass to vibrating action for 10-25 seconds and then to a magnetic field.

EFFECT: high strength of articles made from the foamed polystyrene concrete.
