FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to corrosion protection of steel products. Inhibitor represents mixture of long-chain esters of phosphorus thioacids of common formula of alkyl-X-P(S)(OR)2, where X=O, S; alkyl=C16, C18; R=isopropyl, isobutyl, isooctyl, and is obtained by heating of red phosphorus with sulphur and aliphatic alcohol during 10-12 h at temperature of 100-110°C, with further interaction of the obtained mixture of phosphorus thioacids with alpha-olefins of industrial fraction C16, C18 in presence of zinc chloride at 80°C during 4 hours and extraction of target product with known methods. Molar ratio of red phosphorus: sulphur: aliphatic alcohol: olefins fraction reagents is 1:2:2:1.

EFFECT: increasing steel corrosion inhibitor efficiency.
