FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: electric furnace includes bottom, end walls with graphite current leads built in them, tight canopy connected through outlet channel to ID-fan, pivot in which graphitised materials are arranged and enveloped on all the sides with heat-insulating charge, cooled air channels of side walls in-series connected to each other, and cooled bottom channels; at that, in lower part of air channels of side walls there made are air manifolds combining all the wall channels of each wall, and in bottom channels here installed are overlapping elements providing the air flow in half of them alternating in one or several items via the channel from left to right with its outlet to air manifold on the right side, and the other half there provided is air flow from right to left with its outlet to air manifold of left wall.

EFFECT: economy of supply of cooling agent - air per graphitisation operation.
