FIELD: electric engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electric engineering, particularly to electric machines such as electric hydro and wind generators, i.e. to generators with small number or rotor revolutions per minute. The specified technical result is achieved through the multistage synchronously asynchronous generator with several stages having the first stage represented as an inverted synchronous generator and the remaining stages as asynchronous generators operating in break modes. According to the invention, the intermediate stators of all stages, except for the last one, are designed so that to rotate in the direction opposite to the rotors rotation, while the stator of the last stage is immovable with its stator winding being connected to output terminals of generator and number of stages is even.
EFFECT: reduced consumption of active materials used for cascade electric generator with low rotor frequency and simultaneously preserved nominal power of generator and number of rotations per minute.
