FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to novel compounds for floatation benefication of polymetallic and other types of sulphide ore and synthesis method thereof used in mining industry. Compounds which are fluorinated potassium xanthogenates are described by formula (1): , where n, k and m denote the number of radicals per molecule, where n equals an integer from 1 to 5; k equals an integer from 0 to 4; m equals an integer from 0 to 10. The method of producing compounds of formula (1) involves adding a sodium hydride solution to fluorinated alcohol with defined number n, k and m in a current of argon and ethylene chlorohydrin. The mixture is heated on an oil bath under a vacuum. The fraction of oxyalkylated fluorinated alcohol is distilled, to which water and potassium hydroxide is then added. After dissolution of potassium hydroxide, carbon disulphide is added at temperature not higher than 30°C. The end product is extracted. A method for floatation benefication of sulphide ore is also disclosed. The method involves crushing sulphide ore in an aqueous medium to form pulp. The pulp is conditioned with a foaming agent and a compound of formula (1), taken in amount of 25-150 g per ton of crushed material. Floatation is carried out with extraction of sulphides into the foamed product.
EFFECT: more complete utilisation of sulphide ore owing to higher intensity of the floatation process while using fluorinated potassium xanthogenates, higher intensity of the floatation process for copper and nickel minerals when processing Cu-Ni ore.
