FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a rubber mixture for tyres and a pneumatic tyre. The rubber mixture for tyres contains the following in pts.wt per 100 pts.wt diene rubber: 1-20 nonmetallic fibre with mean diameter of 15-100 mcm and 1-30 filler. The filler has two or more protrusions whose length is equal to 0.5-3.1 times the mean diameter of the nonmetallic fibre and the open angle θ between neighbouring filler protrusions is equal to 90-130 degrees. The pneumatic tyre tread is made from the disclosed rubber mixture.
EFFECT: invention improves friction characteristics on snow-covered and ice-covered road surface.
