FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: method of evaluating thermal and physical characteristics of building enclosures made from bricks during winter season based on full-scale test results involves measuring temperature of the inner and outer surface of the structures during day time by placing sensors inside the enclosures. According to the invention, during day time in the presence of solar radiation on the surface of the enclosures, sensor readings are used to simulate the process of the emergence of thermal countercurrents inside the enclosure using the direction of the temperature gradient vector, wherein based on the readings of temperature on the surface and inside the enclosure, the behaviour of oscillation of thermal currents from the outer layer of the enclosure to the inner layer is taken into account, while determining the emergence of a layer inside the enclosure which is hotter than the surface of the enclosure and is the source of multidirectional thermal currents.
EFFECT: wider range of determining thermal and physical characteristics of enclosures.
