SUBSTANCE: display device (10) comprises a lighting device and a display panel which enables to display using light from the lighting device, comprising a gas-discharge tube (15) lying on the first surface of a chassis (13), a power board (16) mounted on the opposite surface of the chassis (13), and a relay connector (14) mounted on the chassis (13) so as to relay power supply from the power board (16) to the gas-discharge tube (15). The relay connector (14) includes a holder (20), having insulating properties, and a relay terminal (30) which is electrically connected to the power board (16) and the gas-discharge tube (15) and is mounted to the holder (20). The relay terminal (30) includes a pair of flexible parts (34) which hold the power board (16) between them. The flexible parts (34) are electrically connected to the power board (16) and are formed such that their longitudinal directions cross the longitudinal direction of the gas-discharge tube (15).

EFFECT: enabling easy and reliable connection of the gas-discharge tube to the power board, cutting the high-voltage region in the longitudinal direction of the tube, which enables to reduce the size of the frame region and increase the display region.
