FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: tube end is installed into tube hole of simulator, fixed against movements in simulator by applying deforming force to internal surface of tube. Then, it is rolled with further strength testing of fixed tube. Simulator is made in the form of two rings from hardened steel in combination with three-sector insert. External surface of insert is enveloped with cylindrical sleeve. Tube end is pre-shaped. Shaped end is fixed in annular groove with formation of power element, annular constriction of the latter is performed, in combination with transverse displacements between the above rings and record of autodiagram, for which purpose the non-detachable mechanical connection is taken from cylindrical sleeve, sections of insert are replaced with loading sections of hydraulic press, and stepped backing element is installed in cavity of fixed end with minimum gap, thus locating cutting edges of its step opposite edges of annular groove. Radial movement in the tube axis direction is transferred to loading sections of hydraulic press.
EFFECT: possibility of predicting characteristics of the joint, evaluating the efficiency of annular groove design and its applicability to the changes of tube material shape.
