FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and may be used for making and breaking threaded joints made up of stud and nut for attachment of high-pressure vessel covers, mainly, those of nuclear reactor. Proposed device comprises support mechanism with hydraulic power mechanism and nut making further mechanism. Support mechanism is made up of tensioning and supporting rings. Power mechanism interacts with threaded tie rods fitted on studs and is made up of multistage hydraulic cylinders. The latter are arranged along support ring perimetre. Hydraulic cylinder pistons have bores for threaded tie rods to thrust one against the other by their end faces. Support ring has grooves for wrenches for nut making further.
EFFECT: compact design, sufficient forces for simultaneous removal of stud sets.
