FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming by forging. Rolled ingot is spread to preset plate forged width and thickness at top flat cutout and bottom flat and bulged hammers. Cutout and bulged hammers feature wide work surfaces arranged at α to horizon. Note here that forged pieces with horizontal sites on top and bottom surface at their center and inclined side parts are produced. Side part inclination is defined by relation: tgα≥µ/(1-µ), where: µ is Siebel friction factor. Forged piece may have different ratio between thickness of central and side sections and thickness of central part top surface site defined by above specified relation. Then, forged plate is sheared in transverse direction by alternating reduction of plate side and central sections. Threreafter, forged piece is unbent at flat hammers.
EFFECT: decreased forging force, maximum plate width.
