FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: alternating magnetic field is excited on the day surface using current flowing in cocentred an ungrounded loop and a feed line connected in series. At each point of the profile, real and imaginary components of vertical components of magnetic induction for two polarities of switching the feed line are measured. The magnitude and phase of the vertical components of magnetic induction excited separately by current in the ungrounded loop and feed line are determined. The value of apparent resistance is determined from the radio of the magnitude values. The deep geoelectric structure of the section and presence of anomalous conducting objects therein are determined from the change in the magnitude and phase angle of said resistance on the area.

EFFECT: high accuracy of determining electrical resistance by creating a modified geometry of the measuring apparatus and measuring techniques.
