FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: proposed drier comprises frame, support with V-like seats 3, 4, clamping mechanisms made up of two-arm levers pivoted to said frame and coupled with drive, pick-and-place mechanism made up of levers pivoted on crosswise axles. Top arms of levers represent inclined plate 9 with slope toward unloading side, and thrust 11. Bottom arms of levers are jointed with drive 12 via tie rod 13. Air is fed by fan via heater and nozzles. Proposed method comprises placing tubes in V-like seats, and heating by hot air feed via tubes. Besides, it includes extracting tubes from said seats by pick-and-place device to roll them over on inclined plate so that first tube rolls against the stop on said plate after heating. Then said device displaces to second line of seat. Second tube comes in second line of seats. After drying two tubes pick-and-place device is lifted. First tube goes to unloading. Second tube rolls over against the stop. Then, with said device lowering, second tube comes into second line of seats while third tube gets into first line of seats. Note here that tubes make in rolling, at least, one turnover. While fluid left in tube after first drying cycle is distributed in thin layer over entire inner perimetre of the tube to be finally removed at the nest drying cycle.
