SUBSTANCE: coated proppant contains a particle having an inner thermoplastic coating which contains a hot-melt adhesive, an outer heat-cured coating which surrounds and completely encloses the inner coating. The coated proppant contains a particle, having an inner thermoplastic coating which contains pine pitch or rosin ester, and an outer heat-cured coating which surrounds the inner coating and contains phenol-formaldehyde novolac resin or a mixture of phenol-formaldehyde novolac resin and a cross-linking agent. The method of producing said proppant involves depositing an inner thermoplastic coating on the particle and depositing an outer heat-cured coating which surrounds the particle with the thermoplastic coating. EFFECT: high stability and reduced transportation of minor items into the well.
