FIELD: weapons and ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: according to the first version, the active armor comprises in each cell several flat shaped cumulative charges separated by damping partitions and oriented outward. Plane of cumulative charges jet is oriented across the most likely trajectory of reaching of destruction means and makes an angle of 30-90 degrees with the trajectory. Under the cumulative charges a shock absorber with slits is placed. Under the shock absorber a layer of explosive is located, which is connected to cumulative charges through the said slits. According to the second version, between a layer of explosive and the main armor there is the channel panel, which has channels for transmission of cumulative jets. In the channels of the channel panel there are cumulative charges, each of which is connected to a layer of explosive through the slit. The charges which are nearer to the direction of the most probable arrival of weapons are directed frontwards and can penetrate cell wall. The middle charges are aimed at nearer ones and can cause their ignition. Long distance charges are aimed at a plate of explosive connected to the front and/or side parts of the near charge (charges).
EFFECT: improved protection of armored vehicle.
