FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: pneumatic marker has a new element - a non-contact cut-off valve for gas feeding meant for timely cut-off of gas at the firing moment. Operation of the valve is based on variation of oppositely directed forces acting on it during the firing cycle. When the breech mechanism moves forward and when the ball is rammed into the bore, the resultant of these forces holds the valve in the open state. From the moment the breech mechanism reaches the extreme front position, when the breech screw comes out of the ramming channel while opening the gas path through gas-carrying channel of the breech mechanism into the bore, this resultant force, owing to different carrying capacity of areas of the gas path and the associated gas pressure drop on said areas, drops and, while passing through zero, increases, having changed the direction vector. Under its action, the valve cuts off gas supply and is held by said force in the open position until acted on by the breech mechanism.
EFFECT: simple device of an automatic pneumatic marker.
