FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to welding of plastics, namely, thermoplastic synthetic materials and may be used in aircraft engineering for production of belts, halyards, straps, etc, from kapron tapes and cords, mats and brushes from synthetic monofibers, etc. Static pressure is applied to materials being jointed together to pass ultrasound there through. Here, time and deformation of welding zone are measured. After ultrasound is switched on, ratio between waveguide displacement and ultrasound passage time interval is continuously calculated while ultrasound is switched off after reaching maximum magnitude of said relationship.
EFFECT: stable high quality of weld joint.
