SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technology of silicates and compositions of ceramic mixtures for making bricks.The ceramic mixture for making bricks contains high-melting clay, quartzite and mullite, with the following ratio of components in wt %: high-melting clay - 55.0-65.0; quartzite - 20.0-25.0; mullite - 15.0-20.0. The ceramic mixture additionally contains carboxymethyl cellulose in amount of 0.05-0.1 wt %.
EFFECT: high strength of the bricks.
