FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: chamber of low-thrust liquid-propellant engine (LTLPE) consists of mixing head with injectors, housing of chamber with subcritical and supersonic parts of the nozzle, with an insert concentrically installed with a gap inside it so that a gap cavity interconnected with chamber cavity is created. According to the invention, the insert is made in the form of a thin-wall cover from heat-resistant material, for example iridium, and tightly fixed at connection point of mixing head and chamber housing. Insert can be close throughout its length to length of subcritical part of the chamber and repeats its contour, and mixing head is provided with two jet injectors the axes of which cross each other. As per more preferable design of chamber, the gap between insert and chamber housing has the value coordinate with the cover thickness.
EFFECT: increasing LTLPE service life in continuous and pulse operating modes.
